Thanksgiving from PNG

As we reflect on thanksgiving week (even though it doesn’t feel like fall here in PNG) we have been asking the kids what they are thankful for and we included ourselves too.
·         The prayer/support of all of our family and friends back in our home country.
·         That God gave us all an important job to do, even if it seems insignificant at the time.
·         God gave us our own free will
·         Jesus came to earth as a baby and gave up his son for us.
·         2 great school campus that we have in PNG
·         Comfortable home to live in
·         Being here in this beautiful country learning more about God each and every day
·         Being able to ride horses
·         Having a store that we can walk to. If you can get all the items on your shopping list, that is an added bonus (doesn’t happen all the time.)
·         Rain to fill our tanks, and a way to have RAM( river water) and Tank(rain captured in our gutters and goes to holding tank) water be different so we have clean water to drink.  Sun to heat the water heater and to dry the clothes.
·         Yummy produce to buy at the “market” or get out of our own yard (pineapple and bananas)
·         Hearts of the nationals that what to know more about Jesus and His word.
·         Haus Merrie and Yard Man and yard Merries that come and help us with our household jobs a couple times  a week.
·         Lots of kids around for the girls to play/hang out with.
·         Great Godly influences on our girls lives
·         Community group and a youth group that is reinforcing what we are teaching at home
·         A job that gives Chad the opportunity to be in the lives of 11 nationals and build relationships with them.
·         Friends close and far away that are praying and willing to “listen” when the boiling point as been reached.
·         For having music played in our home by our children.
·         Friends sending us care packages and notes.
Thank you everyone for the prayers and support you have given us during this last year.  WOW what a year of change it has been…..

God bless,
Chad, Ruth, Meliah, Annakah, Kiernan Michael
