MIchael Family Picture Update

Here are a bunch of pictures that show some of the main events in our lives over the last few months.

Kiery loves being barefoot and running around.  She says, “she wants to be as dark as a Paupa New Guinean” she gets that dark from mud at times.

One of our family activities is to “play” dominoes in the evening.  We love to see how many we can set up before they fall.  Having a great big coffee table helps.

Kiery reading with one of her classmates up on her bed.  Kiery thinks everyone should love reading as much as she does. 

Chad playing firefighter.  There is a volunteer firefighter force here.  There has only been 1 fire in Ukarumpa  in  recent years.  This is more of grown men living out there childhood dreams.  And they “practice” fighting fires and pulling hoses around.

Meliah’s 16^th birthday party fun.  Lots of Wii fun and watching videos, nighttime water slide and of course pizza and cake.

Banquet is a HUGE deal around here.  The Juniors and Seniors get all dressed up and have a special dinner  and activities for the kids.  They have a grand entrance that the community comes and watches the students in their dressed up clothes. 

Chad was asked to play a part as a Secret Service Agent to help keep the guest “safe”. He makes a handsome Secret Service Agent if I do say so myself. Meliah can’t wait till a year from now when she can be part of the festivities of Banquet.

Anna’s 6^th grade class did a chapel that was based on Josh and the big wall (Veggie Tales).  It was very cute.  Anna had a part of a French pea.  She had the accent down well J

Anna playing in a beginning band concert.  She enjoyed playing the trumpet this last school year but she will not be continuing with it.

Anna getting her diploma for finishing 6^th grade.  They even had a 6^th grade band for graduation.
