God changes plans

We both hope that you will be glad to hear of some exciting news that we have to share! Down here in PNG we've been enjoying all that life has to bring, but we have been feeling that God is guiding us to bring our time here to an end! Which means that he has been directing us to return to the states much earlier than we had planned. While this isn't without some sadness on our part as we leave the work, friends (and pets) that we have come to love here, we are also excited for the adventure that awaits is back in our home culture and country!

The plan is for us to be leaving "finish" from PNG  mid June as soon as the school term ends here. More details will be following soon as we lock in dates and travel plans.  We are all healthy and well at the moment, but we are struggling with the thought of leaving this beautiful country and the people we have come to love here. Your prayers for us in the midst of this transition is appreciated as this will be a stressful time that is happening at warp speed!

It will be a busy time trying to finish up well here. pack and sort all of our belongings, and say our good byes on this side of the world. Chad is planning to return to PNG sometime this summer or early fall to finish up some important work and transition others into doing his jobs.  We are still working out the details and how long he will need to be gone but we are thinking approx. 2 months max. This is another area we would appreciate prayer in that being away from each other for that long will be a first for us. But we think God is in this plan as well.

Please join us in our excitement and praise to God for this turn of events in the life of our family!

In His Service,

Chad & Ruth Michael

Jeremiah 29:11,12
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil,to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

  1. We'll be delighted to welcome you home! And we're recruiting for the fire department for both fire and EMS, some of us need to start retiring :-)
