A fun song to tell you about furlough prep

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Furlough

It’s beginning to look a lot like furlough
Choices left and right
Time to pack all the household stuff
Where did we get so much?
There’s packing tape and no escape in sight

It’s beginning to look a lot like furlough
Boxes on the floor
An encouraging sight to see—
What I thought would never be—
It’s an empty drawer!

A pair of suitcases each
And a kiss on the cheek
Is all we brought back then
So much to do
And so much to think through
And decide on either end
Our bosses here can hardly wait
To have us back again!

It’s beginning to look a lot like furlough
Can’t the time go slow?
Got to measure the space and weight
Preparing for the date
If we’re still sane, we’ll board the plane and go!

It’s beginning to look a lot like furlough
Soon we will depart,
And as all who have done it know
I’d be thrilled to death to go

If it weren’t so hard!

This song was done by a good friend here that loves to write poems, Krista Besselman.  Thank you for taking the time to do this for us.  Krista you will get a yummy dinner out of this work.

We are in the process of doing another blog that is more of a catch up in our lives and the things that God is doing in each and every one of us.  So be on the look out for another post soon.

May the Lord bless each and every one of you,

Ruth
