When a missionary family returns to America after being gone
for 3 years
In the
midst of all these appointments etc. we have conquered some shopping and
getting our pantry stocked and making sure we each have some clothes to wear
for the first few weeks here. Not to mention the many boxes that have been unpacked
and sorted through and many things found or will be “finding new homes” when we
donate or give them away. Then you add on trying to learn all the new
technology for cell phones and the purchasing of 3 new computers with all the
changes and learning that includes. The learning curve is steep to say the
least. Meliah has put together a talk
for the youth at our home church that she is giving tonight.
Still
on the list of things to do is; trying to figure out if Meliah should get a
Washington state drivers license and all the hoops you have to jump through in a short amount of time or
wait till she is in Pennsylvania and do it there. Get Ruth’s expired driver license, but have an extension all sorted out. Meliah
needs wisdom teeth pulled also later this month. Also, trying to put together a presentation
for Chad and Ruth for our home church for this Sunday for the adults and the
children’s ministry. Then to really get
going on the needs that Meliah has for college wardrobe. I would have started twitching and having
full blown panic attacks, If I didn’t have God constantly, “reminding me that
it is a command not a suggestion, Do Not worry about tomorrow! And that God created time into days and
nights so you we could have manageable portions of life to handle.” (Jesus Calling pg. 206 July
15).
Thank you everyone for your prayers and
support you have given us. Thank you for
those that have come along side us and helped with some of the kid running
around, providing a meal here or there, and just being patient with us as we
are in this extreme busy, insane time.
Ruth
