An Update from Ruthicus

The girls started school on Wed July 20th and Chad had his first day of work in Friday the 22nd. The girls seem to love school. Meliah and Anna have had homework every night so far but they seem to enjoy the classes and friends. Kiery loves school and is making lots of friends and is reading lots of different things. Anna has decided to play the trumpet in the school beginning band, luck us....Actually I don't mind b/c of playing flute all those yrs and I figure its pay back time. :) She is also in choir and she went to ride horses today (Sat). Meliah commented that Anna is never home that is a switch We are very impressed with the schools thus far and everything about them. The weather we aren't impressed with though. We have had rain most days since being here (like the drizzle kind of rain contuinally in Seattle.)

On the few sunny days we have had, or at least not drizzling, you can tell everyone is doing laundry as fast as they can to hopefully get it dried before it rains. I think today alone, I did 5 loads. Luckily this house has a covered porch for the rainy days to maybe get the clothes dry eventually....Meliah is in the youth program here. She has already been with her small group and will have youth group on Wed and small group on Tues. She really likes the girls here. The other day Chad was gone and Meliah was somewhere else too and there was a knock at the door. I opened it and it was like 5 teenage boys looking for Meliah. They were all going to play frisbee golf and wanted to invite her. Anyway, I laughed when I closed the door, thinking Chad would have had the "shotgun" out w/ boys coming over. We all had a good laugh over that one. Chad seemed to like his first day of "work". He did enjoy helping our fellowship family with an unexpected home remodel project before he started his job. We really enjoy our fellowship family and they are our neighbors now that we have moved. But..... they are going on forlough in 2 weeks, so that will be a tough loss there.

We are getting settled into our new permanent home. The bags are unpacked and most things have found a place to be. We moved in Tues night to this home. We hope to get pictures on the blog soon.
