Home Away from Home

Today Ruth grabbed the camera and went around the home we're living in and snapped some pictures for the blog! So for anyone out there who is interested in what our house looks like, this post is for you!

The internet is working way better tonight so I thought I better get these pictures uploaded while I can!

Our house from the front yard

One of our pineapple gardens

The house from the backyard. We're on the side of a steep hill. Not a lot of fun to mow!

Our two bee hives in the backyard. They seem pretty harmless so far.

The terraced garden out our back door.

The living room.

Kitchen and dinning room table.

We put Meliah under the stair well. The room is bigger than it looks in this picture.

The bathroom and shower. Chad hardly ever gets a turn!

The laundry room.

The living room from the other side showing the wood stove. Even though we are in the tropics, we are a mile high in elevation and it actuall has been really overcast and cool the whole time we've been here. So we've actually used the fireplace even though we are practically at the equator!

Annakah's room.

Kiernan's room.

Ruth and Chad's room. This is a double bed with just a 6 inch foam rubber mattress! An adjustment from our sleep by number king back home.

The other half of the master bedroom.

The view off our front porch.

So now you have a better idea of what it looks like where we live. It's actually one of the newest homes here in Ukarumpa built back in 2006 (I think). We feel so blessed to be in such a nice place and plan to host bible studies, youth groups, sleepovers, and other events on a regular basis since we have a lot of space.

So next time your in our neck of the woods, be sure to swing by and see the place for yourself! ;)
